Evans Turner were appointed by Schindler to work closely with architects KPF to develop edgelit lobby and lift interior panels to sympathetically replicate the fin pattern used for the external cladding using cutting edge laser scoring technology and LED lighting. Another key design feature we were tasked with developing was splayed, mitred, illuminated landing architraves.
Working alongside the main contractor Balfour Beaty, Evans Turner installed the edgelit laser scored lobby panelling on the Ground floor lobby, illuminated splayed architraves to every lift entrance and six passenger lift interiors.
The project won the prestigious ‘Best Large Commercial Building’ at the Building Excellence Awards and was also awarded BREEAM ‘Excellent’ status.
